Justice Involved Youth

Study 1

  • 1467 adolescents who self-reported illegal activities in the 12 months prior.

  • Significant reductions of substance use and illegal activites at both 6 and 12 month follow up assessments

  • Significant reductions in juvenile justice involvement at 12 month follow up assessment.

Study 2

  • 126 individuals between the ages of 12 and 17 under community supervision.

  • A-CRA performed as well as other methods used including drug education class, individual counseling sessions provided by the juvenile probation department, diversion, and family interventions.

  • Significant reduction in substance use and problems associated with substance use (86% at three months, 74% at 12 months)
